In Columbus, we work hard to gain the trust of families, because having families participate in their children’s school leads to greater success for everyone. We are thrilled, for example, when we host a kindergarten pancake breakfast and several hundred family members show up. That’s a sign we are creating community. For me, it is about always asking ‘how do we serve families better?’”
