Angella Martinez became CEO of KIPP SoCal Public Schools in 2021, after serving as CEO in residence and chief academic officer. Previously, she was principal at the high-performing KIPP Los Angeles College Preparatory School. After graduating UCLA, Angella taught at Ralph J. Bunche Elementary for six years with Teach For America, then took a recruitment manager position with the KIPP Foundation in order to broaden her impact. She became a KIPP school leader successor in 2008.
